Venue, Timing and Cost
Join us for an exciting in-person photography workshop at Fusion Arts in east Oxford! In this four-hour class taught by photographer John Blythe, you will learn all the intriguing steps involved in the pinhole photography process, from assembling a pinhole camera, to taking a photo, to developing it in the darkroom.
Pinhole photography is an analogue image-making technique that dates back to the 1800s. Instead of using a lens, a pinhole camera is effectively a box with a tiny aperture or pinhole on one side. The hole filters light through and creates an inverted image on the other side of the box. When the pinhole camera is made lightproof and fitted with light sensitive-material, pinhole photographs are created.
All materials are included in the price of this workshop plus tea and coffee. There are several ticket price options to choose from:
- General admission - £25
- Under 18s / Student - £15
- If you feel you cannot afford the ticket cost please email darkroom@fusion-arts.org and we will provide you with a 50% off discount code.
