OVADA is proud to present “Autonomy”- the Warehouse Art
School Exhibition 2021

Friday 16th – Sunday 18th July
Thursday 22nd – Sunday 25th July
Thursday 29th July – Sunday 1st August

The seven artists exhibiting work this year range from video,
performance, installation, painting and 3D sculptural work- all
completed during the last three months of the year-long course.
Though 2020/21 has been another challenging year with the
ongoing outbreak of Covid-19 the course continued online, then
assembled in a nearby village hall, then a welcome return to the
OVADA Warehouse from mid-May 2021.
The works have been conceived and informed during an
anxious time when every individual has been trying to understand
their own situation and practice as well as responding to and
connecting with the new ‘normal’. Though the year was a disrupted
one, the artists continued their practice and maintained close
contact with fellow artists and tutors alike
Formal concerns, painterly expressions, ethical and ecological
themes emerge and, as with previous years, all the participating
artists have a singular voice and a personal response to their
respective creative output.
