We’re collaborating with Dancin’ Oxford once again to bring you a stunning line-up of dance to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Moving with the Times. Every year, this showcase features three exciting dance companies offering new work that is often explosive, moving, and thought-provoking.

This year we are delighted to be showing work from Jasmine Chiu, Tom N Rob, and Kate Taylor. Find out more about each of the artists’ new pieces below.

Jasmine Chiu: Willow

Willow is a dramatised autobiography of a daughter trying to understand her mother’s eccentric behaviour. In her search for truth, she is left facing the fact that the line between fantasy, reality, and illness might never have existed at all. Visceral dance, live violin, and spoken word come together to weave a rich multimedia tapestry, spanning across two eras and two minds.

Tom N Rob: Together Alone

Tom N Rob are a captivating duet of comedic dance theatre, created by talent and friendship in its purest form. They are presenting Together Alone: a short film shot on the first day Tom N Rob danced in person together since the start of the pandemic. Using movement and original music, they will be exploring how we can all connect, despite the barriers we face in today’s world.

Kate Taylor: I am ok

I am ok sees Kate Taylor joined on stage by actor and musician Kathy Diamond. The work depicts both personal and shared struggles with mental health through the eyes of two women. A raw and moving experience, performed with exquisite detail and power, the body teaming with stories.

Recommended for ages 12+ but younger children are welcome
