Venue, Timing and Cost
Monday 18th, 25th January, 1st, 8th February 2021 4pm – 5.30pm.
Creative Fun at Home with Ali Berrett.
Creative ideas using household materials and recycled items to create art and inspire resourcefulness.
Each week children aged 5-10 can check in on zoom for 10 minutes at 4pm to hear what the creative challenge for the hour and a half is. Little artists will then have a 10 minute slot where Ali will check in with them and how they are doing and if they need any help. At the end of the session the class can come together to show what we have made. Projects will be using everyday household items and recycled packaging. Sometimes paint or colour might be useful but not essential. A phone camera would be good to take images of the finished work.
Some supervision may be needed for younger children at the discretion of parents/carers.
Equipment: recycled materials eg. cardboard, plastic containers, packaging, wooden spoons or cutlery etc. Basic paints or crayons, felt tips or coloured pencils, scissors, sellotape, glue sticks if available. Maybe blu-tack and post it notes or paper clips. String if available. Elastic bands. The idea is to be resourceful so if any of these are not available there will be alternative ways of doing things. It's all about having fun!
