Beginners Course in Observational Drawing

As we are now in the final week before these courses start there are just a few places left on both morning and evening courses so please book your place now via the eventbrite link to avoid disappointment if you were looking forward to this course as much as we are.

This 6 week course, on Wednesdays, offers the opportunity to be gently guided through the basic yet fundamental building blocks of observational drawing.

Designed with the beginner in mind, but equally enjoyable for anyone wishing to rekindle their love of drawing, Karen deftly introduces interesting and challenging exercises to the class in a mindful and motivating way to develop her students' own competence, confidence and enjoyment of drawing from close observation.

Course Overview:

Week 1: 26th February 2020 - Media, Marks & Lines

Week 2: 4th March 2020 - Negative Space

Week 3: 11th March 2020 - Gesture Drawing

Week 4: 18th March 2020 - Contour Drawing

Week 5: 25th March 2020 - Measurement & Perspective

Week 6: 1st April 2020 - Tone, Volume & Form
