Edith Hall is a Classics Professor, writer and broadcaster who specialises in the history, literature, theatre, myth and philosophy of ancient Greece and Rome and their continuing impact in the modern world. She is a world leader in the instrumentality of ancient ideas in world culture since the Renaissance. We are delighted to welcome Edith to The North Wall to talk about her most recent book, Aristotle’s Way: How Ancient Wisdom Can Change Your Life.

In our fast-moving, multi-cultural, multi-faith world, we need moral tools to help is navigate the choices, dilemmas, traumas, communities and relationships that are the stuff of life. This talk explores how the ideas propounded by Aristotle more than two thousand years ago are of practical use for people of all ages who think seriously about moral issues today.
