Monotyping is a type of printmaking made by drawing or painting on a non-absorbent surface, known to be one of the most painterly and experimental of printmaking techniques! The workshop explores the possibilities of oil-based monotypes printed with an etching press. The day will cover monotype techniques, mark-marking and multi-layered prints also introducing photographic imagery into the work.

All materials and tools will be provided. Please bring an old apron or some covering

Tea and coffee and biscuits are provided. Please bring a packed lunch

All abilities welcome, no prior Printmaking experience required.
