Learn to see things the way they are for what they are with this new and revamped beginners course in observational drawing.
This 7 week course, on Wednesdays, offers the opportunity to be gently guided through the basic yet fundamental building blocks of observational drawing. Designed with the beginner in mind, but equally enjoyable for anyone wishing to rekindle their love of drawing, Karen deftly introduces interesting and challenging exercises to the class in a mindful and motivating way to develop her students' own competence, confidence and enjoyment of drawing from life.
Week 1: 6th November - Media, Marks & Lines
Week 2: 13th November - Negative Space
Week 3: 20th November - Gesture Drawing
Week 4: 27th November - Contour Drawing
Week 5: 4th December - Measurement & Perspective
Week 6: 11th December - Tone, Volume & Form
Week 7: 18th December - Life Drawing - an Introduction
A range of materials and equipment will be supplied as part of the course. Light refreshments will also be provided. Life model in week 7 tbc.
