Cyanotype image making process

Cyanotype - Cameraless Photography

No experience needed, all materials supplied. This workshop will introduce you to the wonderful world of experimental photography.

Cyanotype is one of the earliest photographic processes, used to make the first photographically illustrated book.

We start the workshop by making your own cyanotype chemistry. We will coat papers (and a tote-bag) with this chemistry. The images are made by covering the paper with fancy shaped objects (like flowers, branches, pieces of glass, anything really) and expose it to the sun.
Every participant gets a tote-bag to print on and carry home their beautiful timeless prints!

The morning workshop session will be followed by an afternoon open public session where you can continue to play with the process.

Costs: £ 30 (concessions available)
Incl. Materials, coffee/tea.
