A sculpture workshop with all profits in aid of project with poor communities in Moldova

Beatrice Hoffman IS a widely exhibited and internationally selling sculptor working from her studio in Garford (OX13 5PF). She models out of clay contemporary sculptures (abstract forms, figures or heads) for the home, garden, or public spaces. They are cast in bronze (resin), and vary in height
between 20 and 230 cm.

She is teaching students of all ages and abilities through “Sculpture Workshops Oxford”. She runs weekly and fortnightly day and evening classes for adults students, and holidays courses for children.

On the weekend before the Great Mad Weekend, the 21/22nd ono September she is offering two half-day ceramic sculpture workshops - one in the morning (10-1) and one in the afternoon (2-5) , with eight spaces each .
All the profits from the event will benefit the local Marcham
Moldova Lifeline Charity, which is celebrating 10 years of effective partnership between our area and one of the poorest
countries in Europe.
The workshops are addressed at students of ALL abilities and ages: - including complete beginners, and children (8+) as well as adults.
Each workshop lasts for two sessions each, spread over the Saturday and Sunday. This will allow students to learn two different sets of ceramic sculpting skills on each day: modelling with soft clay on the first day, and carving the hardened self-supporting sculpture the next day.
Students can pick any topic that they feel drawn to - animals, human figure or head, or abstract form.
Much inspiration and teaching materials are on offer: toy animals, natural objects and sculptures on display, as well as hundreds of laminated images and many books.

“A wonderful course. Learn-as-you-go in a relaxed atmosphere....Beatrice is encouraging, straight talking, knowledgeable, patient and kind, I thoroughly enjoyed the 2 days and I learned so much. Highly recommend it.”
“My child enjoyed the sculpture workshop immediately. It was a sociable and informal atmosphere and he achieved real success in a very short time.”
On the following Great Mad Weekend Beatrice Hoffman will be hosting an exhibition on the Sunday 29/9/, 1-5, with her sculptures displayed in the garden and home, and the student’s creations in the studio. For any sculptures sold in that context, a commission will be paid to the village hall fund .
