Waitress For The Bees
Waitress for the Bees is Emma Hooper’s solo project, using viola, electronics and vocals to play you songs about dinosaurs and insects that will make your heart hurt and that once won her a Finnish Cultural Knighthood. emmahooper.ca

Duotone
Duotone is the alias of multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and live looper Barney MorseBrown. Like an alchemist Duotone weaves a plethora of instruments of an epic orchestral power – including his pioneering and unconventional cello playing – with a masterful use of a looper for his gentle vocals, which wraps each song in a blanket of intimacy. duotonemusic.com

Red Carousel
Red Carousel is a string quartet (Sue Lord and Ian Vorley, violins; Emma Hooper, viola; Beth Porter, cello), formed in 2005, who write and perform their own, original material. Their chamber-pop pieces sit somewhere between The Penguin Café Orchestra and Nils Frahm and are all collaborative composed by all four members, with no pencils or staff paper allowed.

As a session group, they’ve played with a slew of brilliant musicians and groups, including Peter Gabriel at WOMAD (for an audience of 30,000); Newton Faulkner for his ‘Rebuilt by Humans’ album; The Heavy on their album ‘The Glorious Dead’ (which features on adverts for Pepsi, Guinness, major motion picture ‘Dallas Buyers Club’, and many more) and Jim Moray on his MOJO Folk Album of the Year ‘Low Culture’. They also, once, filmed an advert for BBC TV on a craggy Welsh cliff where it was very cold. redcarousel.co.uk
