Assemble and personalize your own Artist toolbox in this practical two-hour workshop, hosted by THIS GIRL MAKES. This session offers a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about woodwork and craft in a relaxed creative environment.

THIS GIRL MAKES is a multi-dimensional project that started as a blog in October 2016 by founder Harriet Poppy Speed. Taking inspiration from the THIS GIRL CAN movement, the initiative celebrates women in the craft and design industries, in pursuit of removing the outdated view of gendered job roles. It also strives to educate and inspire a new generation of makers, as well as highlighting how making can provide women with resilience and independence.

Tutor: Harriet Speed

Please note: the classes are normally held in our first floor learning space, accessed via stairs only. If this would prevent you from attending, please contact us in advance so that we can discuss individual requirements.

Young creatives (5+) are welcome to attend, although it is important to note that those aged under 18 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the workshop.
