Alice in Wonderland

This exciting, interactive exhibition for families opens at The Oxfordshire Museum on 15th June and runs throughout the summer holidays. Created in collaboration with The Story Museum, Oxford, it provides a new way to explore Lewis Carroll’s famous children’s book ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’. Visitors will fall down the rabbit hole and walk through the chapters of the book to run in the caucus race, play croquet with flamingos and hedgehogs, learn the lobster quadrille and find their own ‘mad hat’ at the Mad Hatters tea party. Objects from the Oxfordshire County Collections will bring to life the late Victorian world of the book. The story of how the book came to life during a trip on the Thames at Oxford will also be on display, alongside objects from the personal collection of the original Alice.
