Join Young Women’s Music Project (YWMP) and artist-filmmaker Beverley Bennett to remember and celebrate the enduring legacy of Kate Garrett, founding member of YWMP.

YWMP will be hosting a conversation on how ‘motherhood’ as a quality manifests in our everyday relationships. With the perspective of a neuroscientist, a trainee psychotherapist, anthropologist and the director of YWMP, we will discuss and analyse how the matriarchy can dominate in our existing society.

Young Women’s Music Project

YWMP is an educational charity based in Oxford, which provides an inclusive and supportive space for young women aged 14-21 to make music together, learn new skills, express themselves, and grow in confidence.

Beverley Bennett

Beverley Bennett is an artist-filmmaker. Her practice revolves around the perpetual possibilities of drawing, performance and collaborative experiments with sound.
