TRANSIENCE

This exhibition showcases the work of five artists who originally came together as a result of the Artist Teacher Scheme. The work on show reveals various narratives formed in response to the transient world around us and the inevitable process of change that time brings. This theme is explored through drawing, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, photography and digital responses.
The work on show supports a research project where participants are encouraged to organise and execute an exhibition in a public space as well as confront any barriers which might inhibit the development of their own practice. These artists come from diverse backgrounds and professional educational settings and this diversity is reflected in the exhibited works.
The Artist Teacher Scheme (ATS) is a national programme continuing professional development for artist teachers. It provides the opportunity for teachers to regain or develop their personal practice as artists in the context of the contemporary visual arts at Masters level.

This free to attend exhibition will feature work by five artist teachers that include Helen Edwards, Sarah Wills Brown, Vanessa Esposito, Pippa Prosser and Jo Acty
