Julien Van Mellaerts achieved the impressive feat in 2017 of winning both the Kathleen Ferrier Awards and the Wigmore Hall International Song Competition. Today, he and Gamal Khamis perform Schumann’s glorious settings of Heine, his Liederkreis Op.24. They also present two songs by Ross Griffey, setting Rupert Brooke, Shakespeare settings by Korngold and Charles Ives songs to German texts by Rückert and Heine.
