Explore the basics for binding and repairing books.

This well established course has been running at Oxford Brookes for over 25 years. The non-vocational classes, tutored by widely experienced bookbinder and book conservator Ian Ross, provide an introduction to bookbinding, examining the techniques, materials and equipment needed to bind and repair books.

Traditional methods are considered in conjunction with practical alternatives. Enquiries regarding the course would be welcome if they are received during the summer, for September courses. This would ensure that we are able to create and plan a course tailored for your needs.

Course dates:
14 evenings between 12/14 September - 12/13 December 2018
14 evenings between 16/17 January - 8/9 May 2019

They run on Wednesdays or Thursdays by discussion with the tutor.
