Approaches to Teaching Photography
A CPD course to support and develop skills of current teachers of photography. Set in village surroundings and overlooking the village green with plenty of parking and good transport links this course has been designed for teachers of photography looking for new ways to stretch students and explore new ways of working. Your course leader has over 10 years experience teaching photography. This course will give you a chance to experience fun new ideas to reinvigorate your course. There will also be chances for teachers to network with teachers from other schools.
If you would like to bring along any camera equipment or laptops with photo editing software we can explore some of the functions; although this is not necessary for full enjoyment of the day.
10.00 – 15.15 - Outline of the day.
09.30-10.00 – Arrival and refreshments
10.00 – 10.45 –Stretch and Challenge; approaches to getting the most out of students and ways to develop ideas
10.45 – 11.15 – Create a 3D mind map
11.15 -11.30 - Refreshments
11.30 – 12.30 – Workshop 1: Richard Serra: An approach to process, reviewing and refining.
12.30 – 13:00 – Annotation and Recording
13.00 – 13.45 - Lunch
13.45 – 14.45 – Workshop 2: Presenting work, breaking free of the Frame
14.45 – 15.15 – Questions, Plenary and Evaluation
