Sketch of moving figure

A one-day workshop to learn methods and media to portray the moving figure with reportage artist, illustrator and experienced tutor, Amanda Beck. Starting with an exclusive tour of the Museum's Egyptian artefacts to set the mood, students will then be given a unique opportunity to sketch an Egyptian dancer. Along with support and demonstrations from the tutor, students will be encouraged to explore intuitive approaches to drawing as well as experimenting with a range of techniques and materials.
The course will cover mark making to music form, movement, rhythm and gestural drawing. Use of materials is included in the price, along with a light sandwich lunch.
All abilities are welcome (some experience of figure drawing would be an advantage).
Amanda Beck is a reportage artist and illustrator, as well as an experienced tutor with a background in museum education. To find out more about Amanda, visit https://www.amandabeckartist.com.
