The Spring Artists’ and Makers’ Fair at Bradmoor Farm, Stanbrdge Road, Haddenham is on Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th of April, from 10am to 4pm.

This fantastic Artists and Makers Fair is returning to Bradmoor Farm, Haddenham in April this year. The increasingly popular Haddenham Fair coordinated by events organiser Sally Evans, has grown from its tentative inception in 2015. Then, it involved a handful of local artists; now, it offers a diverse collection of over 40 talented stallholders from four Counties, all displaying, many demonstrating and selling their own dazzlingly unique creations.

Sally who has now been organsing fairs since 2004, has also played a major role in organising the annual Bucks Open Studios (now rebranded Bucks Art Weeks), says .....“I have over 60 artists and makers regularly exhibiting their work at the events I organise, in Haddenham, Thame and Princes Risborough and previously the Glass House at Waddesdon Manor Plant Centre. When the Glass House closed in 2014 we were all very disappointed as it was such a spacious and inspiring venue, but Bradmoor Farm is wonderfully accessible for both people using a wheelchair or push chair and the space and light is perfect for us.”

At Bradmoor Farm this April, Artists working in ceramics, glass, mixed media and textiles; embroiderers, a weaver, ceramicists, painters and printmakers, silversmiths, jewellers, a writing implements maker and an artisan bookbinder, will all be exhibiting alongside others whose unique creations defy conventional labelling. For example, what about an ornate, vintage silver teapot wind charm. Or would you like to commission a beautiful piece of keepsake silver jewellery, based on an original drawing by your child or grandchild? Perhaps a block printed quillow piques your interest? The range of delightful and unusual things to see and buy is truly exceptional.

Bradmoor Farm may not have the same historic appeal as Waddesdon Manor, but it provides a quiet rural setting with stunning views of the distant Chiltern Hills. Hosts Jane and Steve Gollins have worked tirelessly to develop their business. The Fair’s venue, which was originally (and incredibly) designed as a free range chicken roost, is now an elegant, spacious, wooden floored gallery with an abundance of natural light. Bradmoor Farm cafe, which is licenced and serves substantial meals and snacks. The menu this year includes the option of gluten free goodies and is currently listed on TripAdvisor as the number one place to eat in Haddenham whilst the Sunday Carvery is so popular that advance booking is essential. The well stocked farm shop sells delicious local produce is and a treat not to be missed.

Entry is free so why not make a day of It? Come and take a stroll through old Haddenham, visit the church and duck pond, then come to Bradmoor Farm where you can purchase a special something, chat with the exhibitors or simply marvel at their creativity whilst having a leisurely browse.
