Since winning First Prize at the 2002 Maria Canals International Piano Competition in Barcelona, Viv McLean has had a successful career in the UK and internationally. He performs as a soloist, in concerto, with chamber groups and enjoys collaborating with other musicians, for instance Natalie Clein and David Le Page.

Scottish pianist Alasdair Beatson works prolifically as both soloist and chamber musician. Recent highlights include concerts in London's Wigmore Hall and Kings Place and collaborations with artists including Adrian Brendel, Pekka Kuusisto, the Doric String Quartet and the Nash Ensemble. In concerto, he has appeared with, amongst others, Britten Sinfonia, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the Scottish Ensemble, with whom he enjoys a close association.
