On the 24th March, be transported to the mountains of Southern France, the valleys of Chile and the romantic shores of Naples; through the tastes and sounds of some of the areas' most delicious wines and enchanting songs!
Voices Across Time will be hosting an evening of Wine Tasting and Song led by Slurp’s Rob Yeatman, with song recitals from two locally born musicians Jasmine Faulkner (Guildhall School of Music and Drama) and William Diggle (Royal College of Music). The event will take place on 24th March, 7.30pm, The Great Hall, Bloxham School and is being held to support our community initiative to bring music into local care homes.

The evening will recreate an early 20th century private . Indeed, you soirée will be introduced to your host for the evening, Mrs Phillippa Peckerton-Smythe. She will welcome you into her luxurious home, to explore her husband's extensive wine cellar with the guidance of her knowledgable butler. Six different wines will be sampled that will both provide challenges for the connoisseur and reassurance for the rookie. These will be accompanied by a selection of
songs, mélodie and lieder as well as some favourites from the musicals, alongside delectable canapés. The evening will definitely educate and amuse, whilst taking your wine tasting experience to the next level and all for a great cause...

'Chansons & Sauvignons' will raise money to support Voices Across Time's initiative which launched in 2016, of bringing music projects into local care homes. Voices Across Time specialise in writing original historical musical productions where group participation and shared nostalgia are critical parts of the experience. In recent years, the positive effects on wellbeing and health created by group music-making have been recognised globally, especially for older people. Voices Across Time will conduct a 5 week project at Chacombe Park Care Home. They will use songs, experiences and other material chosen by the residents to create and rehearse a mini musical, which will be performed on the last day of the project by all residents and Voices Across Time's cast. In previous projects, Voices Across Time have seen how such an initiative enriches the lives of those involved and they hope that this can be
seen again with the residents at Chacombe Park.
