My second Sunday afternoon workshop at The Art Jam Studio and this time we'll be making a Basket vase, inspired by a wonderful ceramicist called Marion Angelica. Her work has a lovely fluidity which we will be aiming to capture.

The Basket vase is made with soft slabs of clay, which give the vase a fabric-like appearance. We will be rolling out slabs of clay, applying textures and then cutting out using templates.

The workshop is suitable for beginners and those with more experience.

The 2 hour workshop costs £35 per person and includes all material, glazes and firings. The Basket vases will be ready for collection in about 3 weeks.
