Timing:

Join Cogges Artist-in-Residence, Sally Wyatt, as she takes a small mixed-ability group through the different stages of making abstract pieces of art inspired from the landscape around us.

The first day will be spent gathering information from the Cogges environment through careful observational drawing, rapid sketching or expressive mark making. Abstract painters all have their own processes and strategies for taking the source information further. Sally will offer exciting methods for editing the visual material through collage and paint.

On the second day, artists will have time to build more complete and individual works.

Participants can choose only to take part in the first day only, or on both to create a finished piece.

Prices are: £75 one day/£120 both days. If you're interested in taking part, please email Kim marketing@cogges.org.uk or call 01993 772602 for more details. Max 8 participants.

Please bring your own sketch book OR plenty of paper with a board and bulldog clips.

A4 is adequate, A3 is more fun. Small sketch books may cramp your style.

The price includes all other materials.

We will be working outside, whatever the weather and the painting will be messy.

Please dress appropriately!

The workshop is suitable for artists at all levels of experience.
