Saturday 27th May 2017: 9am – 11.30am - £30
Tutor: C.P.A. professional, Rose Wallace

Find inspiration from traditional Eighteenth century Folk art “Pew Group” seated figures. These humble figures made to mark special dates in a lifetime such as weddings and given as gifts or kept as family heirlooms. Make a contemporary version or follow traditional examples.

You will be guided through the making process to complete your pew group within this workshop. Learn traditional pottery techniques of slab-building, bonding, modeling, scraffito, piercing and impressed decoration.

Held outside and undercover within the beautiful cloister garden at St Stephens House, Iffley Road. Includes all materials, firing, glazing, and refreshments. You are welcome to socialise afterwards - bring along a packed lunch to enjoy in the cloister garden and take time to view the Artweeks exhibition within the cloister gallery.
