Barcos - The Extraordinary Journey of Tango

Inspired by the life-changing journey across the Atlantic made by Europeans seeking a new life in the Americas, 'Barcos' - the new collaboration between Argentinian bandoneon player and composer Eduardo Garcia and the Le Page Ensemble - is soulful, cinematic, deeply nostalgic and full of the distinctive flavours of South America. Featuring works by the father of tango, Astor Piazzolla, Eduardo Garcia himself and Juan Carlos Cobian, this concert will transport you across the open sea to another world.

“When I was a child, I loved to spend many afternoons, making paper ships. Without knowing it, I was playing with my own history, the history of my family and the history of my country. These pieces are humble ‘sound ships’ sailing hopeful seas...” Eduardo Garcia
