Within the beautiful setting of Merton College Chapel, Co-concertmaster Yuri Zhislin directs The Strings of the Oxford Philharmonic in striking masterworks. Pastoral nostalgia flows throughout the English Renaissance of the early twentieth century, while Grieg, writing from the cooler terrain of Norway, issued a symphonic remastering of the Baroque suite, recalling the epoch past of Norwegian writer Ludvig Baron Holberg.
