Michael Welch is a specialist fine art valuer and auctioneer at Bonhams with over forty years’ experience. He specialises in silverware and has been a presenter on the BBC’s ‘Antique Roadshow’. He will discuss the changing market in silverware from Georgian to modern times, and hopes to introduce a wider audience to the contemporary work of Gerald Benny and Stuart Devlin. After his talk, Michael has kindly agreed to conduct a free valuation session for members of the audience.
Entrance tickets, available from the Museum (tel. 01993 814106) will be £8.00 and all talks will take place in The Coach House at 2.30p.m.
