Rebecca Scott, an eminent embroidered textile specialist, will talk about 17th and 18th century needlework samplers. These beautiful samplers were often worked by the poorest in society and give a poignant insight into a corner of our social history. Rebecca has served on the vetting committees for a number of the most highly regarded antiques fairs including the BADA Fair, and has lectured on historic embroidery throughout the UK and USA.
Entrance tickets, available from the Museum (tel. 01993 814106) will be £8.00 and all talks will take place in The Coach House at 2.30p.m.
