After a triumphant debut last year the Society of Wood Engravers returns to The North Wall
this November with an entirely new selection of relief prints in its 79th Annual Exhibition.

Over one hundred wood engravings, woodcuts and linocuts from the UK and around the world reveal the wide range of effects and interpretations this art form is capable of. But traditional or experimental in approach, these prints all have one thing in common; an astonishing level of virtuosity and intensity distilled into exquisitely rendered images.

The SWE Annual Exhibition is always stringently selected, choosing only the best from a large open submission, but while standards are always high, prices can be surprisingly modest, bringing the chance of owning a piece of original art enticingly close.
