Fusion Arts and Oxfordshire Community Rail Partnership @ox_crp are looking for a community-focused mural artist (or artist collective) to co-create new artwork for Oxford Station—celebrating 200 years of rail and the diverse histories of the people who use and work on the railway.
The commissioned artist will lead a series of workshops with youth groups and local communities to explore themes such as:
- Oxford’s railway heritage and its evolving relationship with rail travel
- Personal stories, memories, and experiences of sustainable travel
- The significance of Railway 200—innovation, heritage, and community
- Imagining the future of transport, rail, and connectivity in Oxford
Fee: £3,500
(includes 3–5 co-design sessions + creation of the final artwork)
* Materials, printing, and installation will be covered separately.
**The final piece will likely be digitally produced for large-scale installation on a billboard space at Oxford Station.
