The Story Museum is looking for a Production Assistant to provide production and technical support to a busy creative programme. The main purposes of the job are:

• To provide production and technical support to the full creative programme, including events, exhibitions, and creative learning activities as required. This will encompass planning, design, fabrication/ practical delivery and maintenance tasks.
• To provide technical and stage-management support to Visiting Companies and Artists taking part in programmed events in the Woodshed Theatre.
• To assist with the design, fabrication and technical preparation of new in-house productions, installations and exhibitions.
• To support the ongoing maintenance of current galleries, exhibitions, and spaces.
• To support the delivery of design & making courses, workshops and events with children and young people participants

This post would be particularly well suited to an early career theatre technician, stage-manager or set/props designer wishing to gain experience in their field and broaden their skillset to include all other production areas. Or alternatively, to someone looking to transition between theatre and exhibitions production, or visa-versa.

This will be a 0.8FTE post.
