We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as our Education Workshop Leader from Monday 22nd July – Friday 23rd August 2024 (5 weeks).

About the role

You’ll be our lead workshop facilitator for our School of Creativity programme.

During the week, you’ll work closely with our team of freelance workshop leaders to run inspiring workshops for children aged 6-16. You will work with our Education Manager to ensure the smooth running of our holiday workshops.

Duties will include:

Plan and lead engaging holiday workshops for children and young people aged 6-16.
Lead or assist in the delivery of specialist masterclasses such as Stage Combat, Puppetry, and Shakespeare.
Ensure a fun, inclusive, and safe environment for all participants.
Manage sign-in and sign-out procedures for children at workshops and masterclasses.
Act as the point of contact for parents, welcoming them, settling children, and ensuring a happy, safe environment for all.
Support the Education Manager in logistical aspects, such as venue keys, certificates, and other resources.
Assist with the administration of our education programs.
Assist the marketing team with the promotion of workshops and summer shows.
Stay up to date with current safeguarding policies and procedures.
Set up photo permission and feedback forms, following up as needed.
Create materials or resources as required.

Requirements:

A strong interest in theatre and education.
Experience working with children and young people.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Enthusiasm, drive, and a proactive attitude.
Full, clean UK driving license.

Terms and Conditions:

Available during summer holidays.
Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm in Oxford.
Admin support hours will be worked remotely or at holiday workshops.
Salary: £575 per week.
You must be available for training before 22nd July.
