
Key Responsibilities
Team management:
Recruit and manage the FOH team
Manage FOH inductions and appraisals
Identify and carry out training to develop the FOH team
Oversee systems across FOH, ensuring procedures are followed and implement
any new methods
Manage the FOH staff rota
Run monthly/bi-monthly FOH meetings
Lead on engaging FOH with wider building, including Code of Conduct, Unlearning
Discrimination etc.
Event and building management:
Communicate with hirers to ascertain booking and event requirements and
communicate catering and event logistics to FOH colleagues
Set up AV for events when required, working with the technical team to ensure
that FOH staff are trained to do so
Act as a designated first aider
Carry out Duty Manager responsibilities when on shift
Work closely with the technical, marketing, bookings and visual arts teams on FOH
requirements, utilising our event booking system, Artifax
Work closely with the Facilities Manager and Technical Manager to ensure safety of
visitors to the building. Ensuring that the necessary risk assessments, accident and
incident reports are prepared and filed/distributed as appropriate
Lead on box office systems for FOH, utilising our box office software Ticketsolve
Lead on cash handling procedures for the café and box office, ensuring
compliance and accuracy, communicating with the Finance Manager to identify
discrepancies
