Kerry Lemon (www.kerrylemon.co.uk) is a Brighton based artist working on monumental arts projects across the country. Her practice is research-led and aims to connect audiences to the natural world in order to examine their own role within the anthropocene. She is driven by scientific collaboration and is a certified B Corporation committed to a sustainable practice.
Kerry mentors an emerging artist (self identifying as femxle/neutral) local to every public art commission she undertakes. This is to leave a skills legacy in the area by supporting womxn to develop the confidence required to create monumental public realm sculpture.
She has been commissioned by Dorchester and Cherwell to create a series of permanent public art works for Heyford Park and is seeking a mentee local to the project.
The mentee will have the opportunity for a 1-2-1 Zoom call each month of the project (start Oct 23, End Oct 24) with help to develop their skills and career aspirations. Neither Kerry or the Mentee is paid for this, but Kerry will reimburse any mentee experiences.
