Makespace Oxford take Oxfordshire's once empty and underused buildings and revive, repurpose and transform them into affordable, community-driven workspaces. Community Development Coordinators manage the day to day running and community engagement of our hub spaces in Wantage and Didcot.
We are a democratically run, purpose-driven organisation, passionate about being effective and inclusive in our work. During the last six months we have launched a number of new spaces, as part of our £1.7m grant-funded programme 'Meanwhile in Oxfordshire'. Community Development Coordinators manage the day to day running and community engagement of our hub spaces in Wantage, Abingdon, Didcot, Chipping Norton and Oxford.
The current vacancy will be based in South Oxfordshire, leading either the Wantage or Didcot hub space.
Successful candidates will be enthusiastic about this unique and exciting opportunity to contribute to a major initiative - passionate about building a more inclusive economy and a more just society. They will be an outgoing and approachable 'people' person, a natural collaborator and highly organised administrator. They will be an excellent communicator, adept at bridging and forming networks, ideally with experience of events and venue operations.
