We're looking for an experienced workshop facilitator for a community workshop on Oxford's food heritage in early July. Read on for details.
About the workshop:

The Museum of Oxford and Fusion Arts are currently developing a partnership project on the food heritage of Oxford and its people. The project has originated in work previously undertaken by Fusion Arts and MOX in collaboration with community groups, and we aim for it to be co-designed by representatives of those groups, as well as ones we have not yet worked with.

Fusion Arts is now looking to commission a freelance participatory workshop facilitator, to run one community workshop in order to kick-start the project. The outcomes of the workshop will be used to further develop a plan for the project.

The role:

This role will involve the planning, preparation and delivery of a two-hour workshop aimed at a group of up to 20 community representatives.

Expected outcomes:

Participants will have exchanged ideas about what ‘food heritage’ means to them
Participants will have brainstormed ideas about potential work on the theme of ‘food heritage’ which would benefit their groups and wider communities
Participants will have discussed the values and ways of working underpinning any future collaboration
The outcomes of the discussion will have been captured in a way which will lend itself to being used for further development of the project (i.e. in writing a project plan and a funding bid)
The total fee available to carry out the work described here is £500.

Audience:

The target audience for this workshop are group leaders and community organisers who have previously worked with Fusion Arts and MOX (who have already been identified), as well as any other people from the community recommended by suggested participants.

Timeline:

The workshop will take place on either 1st, 6th or 7th July 2022 in the afternoon.

Application:

If you are interested in this role, please send your CV, any relevant work experience, and your ideas for the workshop to info@fusion-arts.org. Deadline for submission is 12pm, Tuesday 21st June 2022.

The facilitator will report to Cathrin Poppensieker, Projects Manager at Fusion Arts, and liaise with Marta Lomza the Community Engagement and Exhibitions Officer at the Museum of Oxford.
