Learning and Participation Volunteers at the Story Museum

In this role volunteers will support the Learning Team in the running of clubs and courses. This includes assisting with setting up and clearing down, as well as interacting with participants during clubs such as Comic Club and Saturday Story Makers.

Skills Required:
Enjoyment in talking to people and making connections, an ability to work across ages, with TSM staff as well as parents and attendees. Discretion and sensitivity at working with vulnerable people. Able to be calm, patient and confident when dealing with children and artists. High level of professionalism and a clear understanding of safeguarding, especially the Story Museum’s safeguarding process (training will be provided).

If this is a role you would like to do regularly, we will need to organise a DBS check for you. Volunteers for this role must be over 18.
