Buckinghamshire Council, producers of the children’s arts festival WhizzFizzFest, wish to commission artists/creative practitioners to deliver new work as part of WhizzFizzFest on Saturday 02 July 2022.
We want to award 4-5 commissions that contribute to the event, encouraging participation, imagination and curiosity. The successful commissions will represent a variety of art forms, as we move towards an original commission-based model of delivery to make WhizzFizzFest a recognised festival of arts and creativity expressed through original means. We are also working with the Woodland Trust, the UK’s largest conservation charity and want to supplement their work with some interactive activity. We want to award a commission that contributes to the this part of the event, encouraging participation, imagination and curiosity as well as engagement with the environment and nature.
A budget of between £1,500-2,500 is available for up to 4 projects, to include R&D, materials, engaging additional practitioners and delivery. This is a competitive process, requiring an itemised budget from the creative practitioner. Those deemed to be offering best quality and value in terms of budget and output will be successful.
