We are seeking a Sound Designer to work on our traditional family pantomime, Rapunzel. The Sound Designer will work alongside the Director, Production Manager, Inhouse Technicians and Composer to create a sound plot for the show, including SFX where required, and amplification of instruments and, where required, voices.

The Sound Designer should have professional experience of sound design and working with live music, as well as experience using and programming Qlab. Digs accommodation in Chipping Norton will be provided.

Rapunzel, by Ben Crocker and directed by David Ashley, is high production-values, ‘traditional with a twist’ pantomime playing at The Theatre, Chipping Norton. Our pantomimes are regularly selected for the Telegraph’s Top 5 UK Christmas shows. “Perfect, proper panto” – The Times. Atmospheric spectacle, stunning visuals and high silliness in the cosy warmth of this magical, intimate venue.

The show will feature live original music (not pop songs) with an onstage MD and actor-musicians. We generally avoid using personal mics due to the intimate nature of the space.
