Stage Manager (R+D) – The Theatre Chipping Norton
The Wild Party

We are looking for a stage manager to join us for a week’s research and development into a new gig-theatre actor-musician adaptation of the banned 1920’s epic poem The Wild Party, channeling the energy, boredom and wildness of the end of an era. Working with composer Tayo Akinbode and a diverse cast of performers, The Wild Party channels disruptive musical styles both historic and contemporary.

We will be spending a week with a company of actor-musicians, exploring the draft of the stage adaptation, and in particular, different ways of combining music with text. We are looking for a stage manager to help shepherd the chaos, look after some basic rehearsal room tech (PA, microphones etc) and contribute creatively to the growth of the piece.

Dates 23rd- 27th August 2021
Location: Tbc (Oxfordshire/Berkshire)
Rates: £550, plus £172 subs, plus travel.
