The Story Museum is seeking four inspiring and knowledgeable people to join our Board of Trustees. At this time we are looking for expertise in publishing, museums & heritage, creative producing and teaching to strengthen the combined skill set of our already brilliant Board.

Our mission is to enrich lives, especially young lives, through stories. We are achieving this from our most unusual Museum in Oxford, where we share 1001 great stories through immersive exhibitions and imaginative events. Emerging from the Pandemic – glad to have survived and grateful for the support we received – we are now even more focused on our social mission to harness the power of stories to create opportunities for children and young people, especially those who have been hit hardest by Covid-19.

To achieve this, we’re going to need the advice and guidance of a multi-skilled Board, who will join us in pursuit of our creative, strategic and financial goals.
Please visit our website www.storymuseum.org.uk/vacancies to download a Trustee Recruitment Pack and role and person specifications for more details on how to apply. Deadline for applications: 9 July 2021.

We are committed to increasing the diversity of our creative programme, workforce and audiences to ensure the quality and impact of our work. This can only be achieved with integrity if our Board is representative of the communities we wish to serve. We therefore particularly welcome applications from the Global Majority, specifically the African diaspora; South, East, and South East Asian diaspora; the Middle East and North Africa. We also encourage people with disabilities and people from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds to consider applying.
