The Story Museum in Oxford is a most unusual Museum. Due to reopen in April 2020 following an exciting £6 million capital redevelopment, the Museum is now looking forward to opening its doors to visitors from 20 May.

We are looking for someone with previous front of house supervisory experience to support the existing Visitor Services Managers. This is a full-time fixed term contract for 3-4 months (depending on start date) over the summer period.

The main purposes of the role are to:
• Hold a broad understanding of all elements of The Story Museum offer including the Shop, Café, Galleries and Events and to provide confident leadership when Duty Supervising.
• Proactively uphold the quality of the visitor experience, customer service and efficiency through visitor service operations and ensure all our visitors experience a warm welcome and a satisfied goodbye.
• To be responsible for the health, safety and security of visitors and staff and oversee the effective management of any incident.
