Cherwell Theatre Company (CTC) are seeking an experienced project manager with a specialism in outreach and inclusion to join their team in Banbury.

CTC (Registered Charity no 1137145) creates an environment where young people can be themselves, make new friends and feel a real sense of value. We work collaboratively with them to bring their unique qualities and aspirations to life through inclusive community theatre. Our patron is Sir Trevor Nunn who supports us in the belief that “CTC truly provides access for all regardless of background.”

Over 17 years we have delivered 1,000+ weekly sessions, worked with 20+ community organisations, presented 16 accessible family shows, 3 youth festivals and 3 Theatre in Education plays reaching 100,000+ school children across our district.

We provide:

Weekly drama workshops and one-to-one mentorship for ages 11-16 and 17-25
After school drama clubs for ages 5-11 (currently paused due to COVID-19)
Early years drama adventure sessions for 2-5s and their families
Holiday projects for ages 5-7, 8-11 and 12+
Young people are offered a variety of access points to get involved, whether for a week in the holidays, over a school term or for many years, becoming an embedded part of the company. Roles range from acting to stage management, writing, directing, and many technical theatre roles.

Office based at Banbury College as part of our partnership with Activate Learning.

Job Specification

Salary: £18,360 (£30,600 FTE)

3 days per week (Flexible working, includes some evenings and weekends)

The Outreach Project Manager will plan and deliver Outreach projects and support with Outreach elements of Artistic Director projects.
