Bicester Festival is an annual event showcasing the talents of local artists and performers and bringing exciting events to the town. Established in 2018, we’ve run parades, performances, touring shows, livestreams and workshops and each year we are getting bigger and better. Our aim is to play our part in making Bicester a vibrant, creative place to be.

The festival is run by a team of friendly local volunteers who want to support and develop the arts in our area, and we’re looking for others who’d like to join us. Whatever your area of interest, we’d love to hear from you, so please get in touch at any time throughout the year.

In February 2021 we are specifically looking for volunteers to support marketing and communications. We’re looking for a lead volunteer to take overall responsibility in the run up to the next event (September 2021) as well as those who can support as part of a team or take on specific tasks. Do any of these sound like you?

Graphics, Photography & Film
With your skills you could develop and update our website, create compelling content, support artists to distribute their work digitally or help us record the festival as it happens.

Social Media, Website and Content
We’ve got an established website and social media presence; you’ll help us grow and reach more people with up to date, exciting content that encourages others to get involved. You might be able to help us with technical skills, great writing or creating engaging campaigns.

Community Partnerships and Local Links
If you’re well connected in the community or you’re part of an established community organisation that would like to be part of the festival, we’d love to hear from you! You might be able to act as a link between us and your group, facilitating greater participation in the festival.

Marketing Strategy and Coordination
We’re looking for a lead volunteer to take the helm and keep our marketing plans on track, ensuring the rest of us get you the content you need to raise the profile of the festival. You don’t need to work professionally as a marketer, but you do need to be organised and have an eye for a professional finish.

You might be interested in volunteering throughout the year, on event days only, or something in between. Whatever your availability or interest, please get in touch for an informal chat with one of the team to find out more.
