Cherwell Theatre Company in Banbury are seeking diverse artists to collaborate on the first phase of our youth focussed 'Tell Your Story Festival', funded by The Ragdoll Foundation, Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire Community Foundation between October 2020-February 2021.

We are looking for professional artists with experience of working with young people ages 7-11, and 12-25 (essential) and some knowledge of delivering workshops online, or with social distancing measures (not essential- we're all figuring this out together at the moment!)

We are interested in hearing from artists of all backgrounds and disciplines, particularly:

Theatre makers with devising experiencePlaywrightsVisual artists (any medium, including digital, graphic designers)StorytellersMusicians/composersFilmmakers and animatorsClownsStand Up ComediansPerformance Poets

We are also interested in meeting with experienced production managers with a broad technical skill set.

We will prioritse working with early career artists and an Oxfordshire base is desired but not essential.

Rates of pay are in line with ITC/Equity, eg. £150 per day for workshops delivered (online or face to face).

Interviews will be held over Zoom in late September with CTC staff and members of our youth steering board. We will ask those invited to prepare a 5 minute workshop activity to deliver during these sessions.
