Respond artistically to a story of how someone has been affected by the pandemic.
We will pay £200 for each piece commissioned.
When the COVID-19 lockdown began, Oxford Hub knew it had to act. Within days, Oxford Together had sprung up: the city’s community response to the pandemic, bringing people together to help each other.
Arts at the Old Fire Station (AOFS) have teamed up with Oxford Hub to collect stories from people involved – as volunteers, people receiving support, community organisers, paid workers and more.
The stories paint a vivid picture of a city coming together under lockdown. What’s it like to be the only student left in your college? To be at the front-line of a service helping society’s most vulnerable people? To take an exam when you have COVID-19? To bring your neighbours together in support of someone bereaved?

If you’d like to be part of this project, we’d like three things:
1. 3 – 6 examples of your work
2. A short biography about yourself and your art (50 – 100 words)
3. A short description of what you might produce for this (50 – 100 words)
