OCM (Oxford Contemporary Music) seeks a senior arts manager on a part time, temporary basis to hold the fort, and help us plan for the future, whilst our Director is on a period of absence due to ill health. OCM is a National Portfolio Organisation supported by Arts Council England.
Duties include all aspects of management of a small arts company including mentoring the OCM staff team; administrative/financial; creative; and managing the process of coming out of the Covid-19 crisis which has impacted on the organisation’s team, creative work and events, but not its financial status.
Experience in managing a small NPO and general knowledge of the music scene and concert, music and digital event production is preferred but an in depth knowledge of contemporary music is not required.
This is a 3 month freelance consultancy role requiring a commitment of 2-3 days per week commencing as soon as possible and continuing until the Autumn, when hours will be reduced to support the Director as a phased return to work begins. Initially working remotely, the post holder will be required to work some of the time from our office at Oxford Brookes University from September, with some remote working. There is a need for a regular presence in Oxford to lead the organisation so we expect the successful candidate to be available for regular work at our office base as government guidance allows.
Daily rate: £250 per day (Freelance agreement to include travel and office expenses).
