A visual artist is sought to transform a small corner of a Bicester care home into an inviting, colourful, harmonious place with the aim of ‘bringing the outside in’. It will be an inviting place for people with dementia to sit, read or play games and be creative.
The process will be led by the artist and will involve harnessing ideas from staff and residents in linked participatory workshops.
Time frame: Expressions of Interest by 9am Friday 7th February outlining your relevant experience.
Shortlisted artists to make informal optional visit to see space can be arranged directly with the care home.
Informal Interviews will take place week commencing 2nd March at Wyndham Hall Care Home, Skimmingdish Lane, Bicester.
Commencement date: To be arranged with artist
Fee: £2500 inclusive from s106 monies will cover artists fees and art materials. The artist will be commissioned by Maria Malaband, Care Homes and managed by Cherwell District Council.
