THE ROLE
The role of Treasurer is vital to Cowley Road Works. The main duties of the Treasurer are maintaining the charity's accounts, preparing the monthly management accounts for Board meetings and overseeing expenditure. The Treasurer has responsibility for the financial affairs and governance of the charity, and as part of the Trustee team the Treasurer steers the direction and governance of the Charity. As Cowley Road Works is a small charity there is the opportunity for more detailed/hands-on involvement in charity activities/events.

We are seeking a Treasurer with strong finance and accountancy experience. Our current Treasurer steps down in April 2020.

BOARD MEETINGS
Board meetings take place on the first Tuesday of the month from 5.45pm - 7pm in East Oxford.

COWLEY ROAD CARNIVAL
The Carnival is one of Oxford's iconic annual events, attracting around 50,000 people each year to the event which is held along the Cowley Road on the first weekend in July. Year-round activities make a real difference to the community, supporting diverse groups to come together, supporting young people, inclusion and disability-led projects.
